Mr. Swank, do you know where I can find a full picture of any member of the 1945 Padres team? I’m trying to research what the uniform looked like, but all I can seem to find are photos of team members from the chest up. I had thought that the 1945 uniform was exactly the same as the 1946 uniform (2 stripes on the bottom of each sleeve), but some research seems to suggest they had a different uniform in ’45 (maybe one stripe on each sleeve? Or none at all?). Thanks for your help!

I apologize, but I don’t check my blog very often. Former Padres catcher Del Ballinger colorized one of his photos. I think it was the 1945 uniform. His cap and lettering on the jersey were red.
